I received a letter a couple of months ago indicating Rome has asked for more information. Here is a link to the article that appeared in Corpus Report about my situation: http://www.leavingthepriesthood.com/Kippley_Corpus_Reports_Article_Jan._2010.pdfPBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07368146124121650365noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7840706368514945300.post-48395646302423678682011-09-25T15:04:29.589-07:002011-09-25T15:04:29.589-07:00I was a deacon in Chicago for 13 years during the ...I was a deacon in Chicago for 13 years during the 90's, until I was ordained a priest in an Old Catholic church nine years ago. I never considered laicization. I mean if don't have faculties to minister in the RCC what's the issue. On the other hand, I was prepared for the automatic excommunication. This past week, I received another notice requesting me to complete sections of this case for laicization. Hell no!!! I am not going to collude in this forced laicization process.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7840706368514945300.post-9958487623789856602010-11-23T12:50:29.888-08:002010-11-23T12:50:29.888-08:00I got my letter last week from a new bishop in the...I got my letter last week from a new bishop in the dioceses where I was ordained. I left 20 years ago and am happily married with kids in Catholic grade school and high school. The letter said that I was part of many groups that he wanted to seek reconciliation with them and the Church. It also asked if my decision to live as a layman was permanent and if I didn't come along peacefully that action would be taken in thirty days. Glad the church needs to hurry up and "reconcile" me now! What a joke!! I agree totally with the points above. Why bother with this? Jesus didn't throw down a bible on Ascension day and He certainly didn't throw down a code of canon law!!!!!!!!!!lolAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
