Having this Jesus shown speaking to only a young man, and not a young woman, continues the message of a male-dominant structure promoting vocations. Clever as it is in using the generational approach, the message presumes that age, gender and marital status [life-style choice is not evident in the poster, but two men or two women holding hands would address this] remain criteria for receiving God's calling--all limitations with which the Spirit is not saddled. . . she knows what she's doing, even if the church administrators don't know it. LOL
WEORC began as an association of priests, religious women and men who have moved from full time ministry in the Church to other work. They act as a network to assist others making a similar transition. Currently we support a more inclusive Church. WEORC is the old English form of the word “work”.
